Cosmetic dentistry procedures
Cosmetic dentistry generally provides procedures to help with teeth that are:
- chipped
- stained
- uneven
- broken
- crooked
- missing teeth
It's always best to be clear about the particular problem you wish to solve, rather than become fixated on a particular treatment. Talk to your dentist about your cosmetic concerns, let them know what's bothering you about your smile, they can then let you know which treatment and/or combination of cosmetic treatments could work best for you.
Treatments might include tooth whitening, invisible orthodontics to straighten teeth, or crowns or veneers to mask unsightly teeth. Some of our treatments are very minimal whilst others such as a smile makeover, which might combine numerous cosmetic treatments, take more time. Whichever option you choose, our team use high quality materials with the aim of giving you a beautiful smile.
The cosmetic dentistry industry has simply grown and grown over the last few years, with the sole aim of giving you a beautiful smile. For quite some time it seemed that only those of celebrity status had the access and money for these treatments, with examples of dental perfection all over the daily tabloids. However, great changes have continued to happen within cosmetic dentistry and now treatments are easily available and more affordable than you'd think, giving you the smile you've always wanted.

Cosmetic teeth surgery
This is the kind of dental treatment which might involve reshaping your teeth, particularly the tips of your teeth known as the inside edge.
These small indentations are usually there from birth as the teeth develop, sometimes they can be exacerbated by chips along the edge of the tooth. They can be removed with a combination of smoothing the high points, and filling any chips with a small amount of composite bonding.
Cosmetic to surgery like this can usually be performed in a single visit with no local anaesthetic injection required.
Composite bonding can also be used to rebuild up the edges of the teeth if they have been worn down, is an example of some cosmetic bonding by Dr Matthew Sudderick.
